The GIR GPA, together with the GIR of Structures and Wood Technology, has published in the journal Applied Acoustics, the article entitled “Acoustic detection and localisation system for Hylotrupes bajulus L. larvae using a MEMS microphone array”.
The paper presents a novel acoustic system, based on an extensive array of MEMS microphones, for the detection of the presence of xylophagous insect larvae inside wooden structures.
