Los dos primeros sistemas, basados en la propagaci\u00f3n de la luz, no funcionan en entornos con niebla o poca visibilidad, y los segundos son caros y la probabilidad asociada a su capacidad para detectar personas es baja. Es necesario desarrollar sistemas que no se basen en la propagaci\u00f3n de la luz, con un coste reducido y con una alta probabilidad de detecci\u00f3n de peatones.
