Participation in the StemTalentGirl Workshop, held at the ETSIT of the UVa, for the International Day of Women and Girls in Science

On February 11th, International Day of Women and Girls in Science, the GIR GPA participated in the STG (StemTalentGirl) Workshop, of the ASTI Foundation, held at the Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingenieros de Telecomunicación, of the University of Valladolid. The SODAR technology, the basis of pedestrian detection using acoustic radar, was presented at the workshop as part of the work carried out within the IoT4SafeDriving project.


Visit to the Fraunhofer Institute in Bonn.

Professor Alberto Izquierdo Fuente visited the Fraunhofer Institute for Communication, Information Processing and Ergonomics (FKIE – Fraunhofer-Institut für Kommunikation, Informationsverarbeitung und Ergonomie) in Bonn (Germany). He worked with Professor Macarena Varela in the area of detection of people calling for help using drones equipped with microphone arrays.
